Christmas Eve<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You wake in the morning
Snow you start adoring
Right before Christmas day
As your thoughts start to say<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How winter can be mysterious
With Christmas taken so serious
Christmas lights so bright
What beautiful sight<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winter\u2019s snow covers the trees
Cold enough to make you freeze
Snowflakes are so unique
All of them are antiques<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With sights that\u2019s too good to be true
You know you could never feel blue
As the sun sets you can\u2019t believe
That it\u2019s the end of Christmas eve<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We talked of winter days together<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And dreamed of our excursions<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You mentioned to me you loved winter weddings<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My hopes were raised beyond all measures<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I thought you would propose<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But by the first snow, you abandoned me in the cold<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the darkness, I weep<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For what I thought we would be<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still outside, in the cold, life goes on<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ice skaters in the plaza dance their joyous jigs<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the coffee drinkers laugh over hot drinks and bliss<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christmas trees twinkle through the night<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And children dream of Santa\u2019s brave journey and might<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The happiest time of the year<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is the least happy I\u2019ve known in my life<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tis not the season for me<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe next year I\u2019ll be happy<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most Humorous<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twiggy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There once was a stick worm named Twiggy
He didn’t eat much; he was picky.
But then the leaves fell,
The snow came as well,

I can’t resist the flare of the warm fire in the fury stones<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right above are the stockings filled with goodies<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beneath are the names of 4 children who don\u2019t have anywhere to stay for the holidays<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But this little old lady decided to pray<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lord i call you too bring me too these children who need my love<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nothing except the cries of the children i hear<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Little ones I know you’re in despair<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take a moment to breath in the air<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I promise you will be ok<\/p>\n\n\n\n

now come down don\u2019t shed a tear<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have a cup of cocoa too celebrate this little old lady<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the holidays<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do not fear<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m not here<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So try to think clear<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am your mama bear<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even if it\u2019s through the sky<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Snowy Day<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As night turns to day
And the snow just fell
The nostalgic cold but sweet smell Tells me that winter is here
I lay here looking at the sky
Watching as more snow falls
Each snowflake landing gently on the ground As the birds say goodbye<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The leaves have all fallen
And the atmosphere\u2019s sullen.
The skies are gray and dreary.
Life starts to grow weary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deep down they go,
To a place only they know.
The mice in their holes
With the rabbits and voles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though the outside is bleak,
With ice freezing each creek,
Inside each home, everyone knows
Is a warmth that wards off the snow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though a home may not be family,
Don\u2019t fall for fallacy.
Just remember this:

If I Lived on a Glacier<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If i lived on a glacier
or on an iceberg in the south
id look among the waters
feeling the cold at the corners of my mouth
the snow starting to fall and i close my eyes tight
i can smell the cedar burning
the fumes filling my nose
the warmth of the fire
reminds me of what used to be home
the snow turns into hail
as the sun starts to set
the smell of the fire starts to leave
as the cold catches up to me
i close my eyes gently giving in and falling asleep<\/p>\n\n\n\n
