Are you a high school student who is interested in going to college? Are you curious about what college is? Do you have questions about the financial, social, and academic aspects of college? Are you thinking about college but aren’t sure where to start? Well, look no further than the NCHS College Fair happening on September 12th.
Come and speak with representatives from over 30 schools all over Indiana, including Anderson, DePauw, Earlum, Emmitsville, Franklin, Hanover, Indiana Wesleyan, Indiana Tech, Ivy Tech, Manchester, Marian, Purdue, Purdue Polytechnic, St. Mary’s, Trine, University of Cincinnati, University of Indianapolis, University of Southern Indiana, Valpo, and Wabash.
You can speak with representatives from these schools to find out everything you would need to know about college, including finances, housing, food, sororities, fraternities, sports, majors, dorm life, and more. You can also speak with military representatives. Scholarship opportunities and financial aid will also be available at this convention. And, of course, there will be freebies such as buttons, pencils, T-shirts, and more from your favorite schools.
“We are very excited to be hosting such a wide variety of schools at this year’s college fair. We are even having some out-of-state schools from Ohio and Illinois wanting to attend,” Counselor Karen Bimber says.
Not only will you be able to speak with representatives from these colleges about attending their schools, but New Castle will be hosting a competition. The SRT classroom with the most people that have attended the college fair will get an ice cream or a pizza party.
Students from New Castle and the surrounding schools are more than welcome to attend this event. The college fair is not just for upperclassmen, it’s for everyone who wants to attend.
If you’re a student who may just be slightly interested in college, make sure to come down and check out the New Castle High School college fair on Monday, September 12th in the East Cafeteria. We hope to see everyone there!
