The tradition of Achievement Day at New Castle High School dates back to the fall of 1961. The program is intended to celebrate our student’s academic achievements and inspire scholastic success among the student body for the school year. The keynote speaker is always a New Castle graduate who has achieved notable success. Many important guests and members of the community are in attendance, including New Castle alumni. The ceremonial lighting of the Spirit Bowl, presented by the Walter P. Chrysler Memorial High School Class of 1962, is another time-honored tradition associated with this program.
