Just recently the New Castle cheer team played in the Time-Out division. The Time-Out division is where each team gets one minute to give it their best just like timeouts. The New Castle team got placed 2nd in this Time-Out division. The cheerleaders are doing well this season since they made it state. The team got 1st place in prelims.
The girls on the team work very well together and help each other with anything they need. “I feel that our team works really well together. We always help each other when trying new things, and always support each other,” said Senior Emma Cailcoat, “I think our coaches are amazing. They always push us to be our best.” Cheer for Football just ended. They did very well and tried their best!
However, cheer isn’t completely over with Basketball coming up soon! This will be another time for the cheer team to give it their all. November 22nd will be the first game the boys have against Blue river. If you are looking for joining cheer you are more than welcome! The team would love new players and new friends! “I recommend cheerleading. Cheerleading helps you form bonds and memories that you will never forget. It helps you learn how to work together as a team and is such a fun experience.” Said Mailcoat
The cheer team is awfully excited about their basketball season. This year the team has made a significant difference. “The cheer team is doing great this year!! We did awesome in time-out and we are doing great as a team in general!” Said Malicoat.
