New Castle High School students have been given the opportunity to participate in a volunteer opportunity after school at the New Castle Armory, Thursday, September 26 from 6p.m. to 8p.m. 321 Go kids, a well-established local business, has announced that they will be hosting the event.
Throughout the course of the event, a wide variety of exciting activities are planned to keep everyone entertained, such as a bounce house where children can jump and play, water stations to keep everyone hydrated and cool, arts and crafts for children to unleash creativity, face and arm painting to let their imaginations run wild. Additionally, students will also have the opportunity to acquire community service hours and work with children who are in need of assistance through participation in this event. This event not only allows students to give back to the community, but also enables them to develop valuable skills and make a positive impact in their community.
Internship coordinator Patrick Burris has been putting in a lot of effort to make sure that this event goes smoothly. “This is a great opportunity for students to give back to the community, and also allows students to make connections and build their resume.”
Sophomore Destiney Robinson chose to volunteer at the event. “I love helping children and people, and I think the world could use more kindness.” Robinson is a great example of a community leader and a role model for students.
