Have you ever struggled to feel like you belong? At New Castle High School, there’s an easy way to find your people, build new skills, and get involved: clubs! With so many groups to choose from, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re passionate about the environment, love art, want to grow in your faith, or simply enjoy hanging out with friends, joining a club is one of the best ways to make your high school years meaningful.

Here’s a look at the many clubs offered this year, who leads them, and how you can get involved:

Art Club
Led by art teacher Holly Drummond, Art Club meets every other Monday after school in room B106. Students work on a variety of projects and share their passion for creativity. Everyone who loves to make art—whether painting, drawing, or crafting—is welcome.

Environmental Club
If you care about the planet, this club is for you. Sponsored by Diana Bowman, the Environmental Club meets in room M208 during TCT. Members participate in competitions like Envirothon, host the city’s Cool the Climate Festival, and occasionally take trips outdoors. It’s all about teamwork, problem-solving, and protecting the Earth.

History Club
Government teacher Amanda Batson sponsors this club, which is still in the planning stages. Students will discuss history, watch related films, and even take trips to museums or historic sites. Meetings are expected during TCT and some Saturdays.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)
This student-led group meets every Friday morning at 7:45 a.m. in the AP Lounge. FCA includes food, games, and Bible studies that welcome everyone. Diana Sturgis helps sponsor the club and encourages students looking for community and faith discussions to attend.

Junior Optimist International (JOI)
