What do you teach here at NCHS?
“I teach Family & Consumer Sciences and Career Exploration.”
Before teaching at NCHS what did you do?
“I taught at Richmond High School for seven years.”
Did you always want to be a teacher? If not, what did you see yourself doing?
“Yes! I always wanted to be a teacher.”
What is your favorite sports team?
“My favorite team is the Colts.”
What is one interesting thing that we should know about you?
“I have twelve teachers in my family.”
Are you thinking about starting or co-sponsoring a club or sport?
“I am waiting a year to get acclimated.”
If you could become an expert in something, what would it be?
“I would like to be an expert at International Cooking Cuisines.”
What’s your favorite genre of music (what song or album could you listen to on repeat)?
“My favorite music to listen to is 90’s music.”
What is your favorite TV show/movie?
“My favorite show is Gilmore Girls.”
What are your goals for this upcoming year?
“I’m excited to be a part of the Trojan family, and I look forward to teaching the new Career Exploration class at the high school.”
Steve Bode
What do you teach here at NCHS?
“I am teaching Chemistry and Integrated Chemistry and Physics (ICP).”
Before teaching at NCHS what did you do?
“I have been working at Eli Lilly and Co. for the precious 7 years running our IT organization, at our Indianapolis Manufacturing site which assembles and packages the drug/device combination. Prior to that I was a submarine warfare officer for 5 years conducting missions in Africa, Latin America/ South America, and Asia with our allies in Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and the Philippines.”
Did you always want to be a teacher? If not, what did you see yourself doing?
“I did! Just never got the chance to do it until now.”
What is your favorite sports team?
“I am a big Green Bay Packers fan.”
What is one interesting thing that we should know about you?
“I’m one of those people who went to Purdue (Nuclear Engineering) and IU (MBA).”
Are you thinking about starting or co-sponsoring a club or sport?
“Maybe in the future! It would be interesting to have a robotics club… because Robots!”
If you could become an expert in something, what would it be?
“I have three (at one point four) drones that I use when I travel. I’m very good with taking videos and have started to do some amateur video editing. I would love to be an expert in video editing and photography to make more cinemate content. Bonus points to anyone who can find my video online of the Golden Gate Bridge!”

“I listen to almost everything but I think I could listen to Eric Church ‘Sinners Like Me’ on repeat.”

“Really excited for the Expanse.”

“Learning from everyone around me and making learning science fun.

Noah Brown
What do you teach here at NCHS?
Agriculture and Natural Resources!
Did you always want to be a teacher? If not, what did you see yourself doing?
No, I wanted to be a veterinarian!
Before teaching, what did you do?
I was a student at Huntington University.
What are your favorite sports teams?
Pacers, Reds, Colts, and Totteham Hotspurs.
What’s one interesting thing we should know about you?
I’m the self-proclaimed BEST dog dad in the world!

I coach freshman basketball, and I am doing AGventure time! Hopefully FFA in the future as well!
If you could become an expert in something, what would it be?
I would have to choose golf!

My favorite movie is Jurassic World, and my favorite shows are The Office and Parks and Recreation.

My goal is to have students wanting to join FFA!
Ryan Denney
What do you teach here at NCHS?
I teach Introduction to computer science and graphic design.
Before teaching at NCHS what did you do?
I wanted to be a Software Engineer at either Google or Apple (Dream big!)
Did you always want to be a teacher?If not, what did you see yourself doing?
I didn’t always want to be a teacher believe it or not. When I was younger I was almost certainly going to become a pilot like my father, but life has a funny way of working out.
What is your favorite sports team?
I’m admittedly not a huge sports fan but if I had to pick, either team USA in the world cup, or the Detroit Red Wings.
What is one interesting thing that we should know about you?
I hold a private pilot’s license, I think that’s kinda cool.
Are you thinking about starting or co-sponsoring a club or sport?
I am looking into starting a coding club here at the school, but that’s quite a ways away.
If you could become an expert in something, what would it be?
I’d love to become a better chef, I can barely make ice, let alone an actual nutritious meal. (takeout is expensive LOL)
What’s your favorite genre of music ( what song or album cover could you listen to on repeat)?
I don’t really have a favorite genre of music, but if I had to pick anything alternative/pop/rock. Oracular Spectacular or Little Dark Age by MGMT are two albums I could listen to on repeat forever.
What is your favorite TV show/movie?
Favorite TV show is probably Futurama, the ending gets me every time. Favorite movie would probably be Drive (2011).
What are your goals for this upcoming year? Why?
My biggest goal is probably starting/co-sponsoring a club this year. That, or introducing a ton of people to coding, it’s more fun than you’d think!
Lindsey Lowder
What do you teach here at NCHS?
I am a special education teacher who mainly focuses on math
Before teaching at NCHS what did you do?
I was a teacher’s aide for 6 ½ years at Shenandoah then got my bachelor’s degree in technology
Did you always want to be a teacher? If not, what did you see yourself doing?
When I was younger I wanted to be a marine biologist.
What is your favorite sports team?
Collegiate: Alabama Crimson Tide, NFL: Miami Dolphins and Philidelphia eagles
What is one interesting thing that we should know about you?
I am a HUGE Disney dork!
Are you thinking about starting or co-sponsoring a club or sport?
Maybe, I haven’t really thought about it yet.
If you could become an expert in something, what would it be?
I would become an expert at Disney vacations and all things Disney-related… oh wait!

I love Micheal Jackson, Queen, Rolling Stones, Kenny Chesney, songs from movies… all kinds of things!

Cinderella, Toy Story, Forrest Gump, The Blind Side, Grey’s Anatomy, BigBangTheory, Yellowstone.
What are your goals for this upcoming year? Why?
To settle in and learn the culture of NCHS, to no have to teach virtually, and to help students be successful!
