Spooky season is officially here! No matter what’s going on in your life, you can’t help but notice the assortment of candies and treats that occupy the grocery store shelves. Also, you can’t help but notice the variety of costumes that are on display for the upcoming holiday. What are you gonna be for Halloween? Maybe you’ve put some thought into it, or maybe you haven’t decided yet. No matter the circumstance, we’ve got you! Here are some creative Halloween costumes for the trick or treating season!

First on the list is Among Us themed costumes! If you aren’t aware of what Among Us is, it’s a game that revolves around a team of up to 14 crew mates and one imposter. No one knows who the imposter is, except the imposter. Crew mates are expected to do tasks while trying to figure out who the imposter is. Why would this be a good costume idea you may ask? Each character in Among Us is assigned a color. You could be blue, green, red, black and white to name a few. You can also customize your character to your liking. This can make a simple, yet unique Halloween costume! Dress up in your favorite color with all your favorite accessories. You can even add a space helmet for extra effect! This is sure to be a great costume for this year.

Next on the list is albums from your favorite artist. I know you may be thinking, how can you make your favorite album a Halloween costume? Freshman Logan Barnard had this to say on the subject. “I plan on going as Taylor Swift’s “Reputation” album. I’ll be doing this by using colors and themes from the album cover and incorporating it with my costume. My friends and I are doing all the Swift albums!” So, if you’re stuck on an idea and don’t know what to do, look for inspiration from your favorite album!

The final thing on the list is the good ole fashion table cloth ghost. This has been around for years, but who says you can’t make it more unique? Decorating the table cloth with different articles of jewelry and what not can make it seem more unique. Drawing weird faces, or doing extravagant makeup on the ghost also makes it more unique! It’s very cost efficient, and it still allows for as much creativity as you want.

No matter how you’re celebrating Halloween, whether that be staying indoors and watching movies, or going trick or treating, dressing up never hurt anybody!
