Sophomore Kaidyn Minyard is a student and athlete at New Castle High School. Minyard plays basketball during the winter season. Minyard has been playing basketball since she was two years old which shows she has a commitment to basketball. Minyard plays shooting guard whose main goal is to operate around the perimeter and looking to create and take open shots, which is a vital part of winning games and scoring points.

Minyard tries to get her work that she gets during school done during the day because she has basketball practice right after school but if she has time after practice she tries to get it done. Minyard plays AAU for all area which is a basketball program in Muncie, Indiana. Minyard suffered from a torn meniscus which is a common injury which forceful twisting causes certain tissue in the knee to tear. It can heal on its own if it’s a minor tear but if not it may lead to needing it to be surgically repaired. She was out for most of the season because of the tear.
